Archangel Michele sat on a small ledge, about halfway up one of the skyscrapers that littered the city. She was happily enjoying her breakfast, a luxury that had been exceedingly rare since she had flown into New Metropolis. As she ate, she looked over the city, kicking her legs a little over the ledge. Secretly she pittied those who were forced to walk on the ground everywhere. For her, there was no greater joy than being up high, where she could see everything and enjoy the ultimate freedom of the sky. Except they weren't free, not really. It was easy to forget their self proclaimed 'god' when he paid no attention to them. She found herself wondering once more if it was really a good idea to try and take him off his throne. As far as she knew, there was no reason for him not to be a god, and for all anyone knew he was a god. She absently touched the soft feathers of her wings, wondering what use it was to be born an angel with no knowledge of the heavens.
