Ray stands at a whooping six feet five and weighs about 160 pounds.  He is lean, but does not have abs. Due to his height he has long arms, but they show that he is fit. He usually wears glasses and loves to tuck in his shirts. He has short, curly, black hair, that grows up to a height of four inches. His eyes are a deep, dark brown, although he always seems to look sleepy.

Ray is usually seen wearing a long sleeved, tan shirt with a large read R on the middle. The shirt is usually tucked into his black jeans with a red belt. He usually pushes he sleeves up to his elbows, and raps bandages around them, up to his wrist, were he wears a red wrist band. He also does does a similar thing to his left leg. He lifts up his jeans up to the bottom of his knee, and raps bandages around his calf, down to his ankle .He always has his rectangular framed glasses, and a gray hat. This hat is his favorite hat and his only one, it was won at a carnival by his father and be believes it gives him good luck.

Personality: Ray is seen as a serious young man with a moderate sense of humor. He acts like a gentleman since that the way he was raised. Ray is seen as a pessimist, he tends to expect the worse to happen when the wrong, or illogical choice is made. He uses sheer logic to solve his problems and looks down on those who think that willpower will get them far in life.
Ray tends to doubt himself anytime he makes an important decision. He tries to hard to make the best choice, the most logical choice. And if he makes a bad decision, he criticizes himself mercilessly.

History: Ray was born in Veilstone City with 2 sisters in his family. His father was a well know Empath and his mother was a restaurant cook. His sisters pursued a career in there mother's field, but Roy always felt left out. His sisters were always out with there mother, learning to cook, and at times, Roy would join them. Unfortunately, he always felt that cooking was not his calling, he always felt gravitated to his father. His father was usually working with scientists, and was rarely at home. 
At age 13 his father invited Ray to work with him, and Ray jumped on the opportunity. His father was an Empath working for the detectives in Sinnoh. Ray felt attached to the job immediately, and begged his father to let him join. With a little convincing, Ray was trained, and became a Junior Detective a few years later. With the help of his father, He was able to sharpen his Pokémon battle skills, learn the Pokémon language in order to become an amateur Empath, and sharpen his detective skills.

Personality: As Ray's oldest companion, he is very protective, an loyal to Ray. He has a short temper, but has the ability to calm himself down. His is cold and brooding to anyone he does no know, but latter opens up an his shown he be king, caring, and warm.
Strengths: Monferno is very quick and very hard to outmaneuver. With his martial arts capabilities, he is able to easily subdue a criminal, with non-Lethel methods.
Weaknesses: Due to his quick temper, he can easily injure a suspect or criminal when chasing after them, if is temper is not controlled. He is also very protective of Ray, if he meats anyone he does not no, he become a bit hostile.

Nickname: Rider
Personality: Rider is loyal, but tends to go of on his own. He does not always stay with the group, but tends to say around the perimeter, protecting from afar. He his playful an happy, always wanting to pull pranks, but would rather be alone most of the time.
Strengths: Rider strength is extremely helpful. Being able to sneak in to situations, helps the team immensely. Acting as a scout or a spy, or just messing things up is Rider forte.
Weaknesses: Rider is lacking in the seriousness department. He is to playful at times. And can get himself caught in bad situations.

Nickname: Cyclops
Personality: Cyclops is especially brooding and quiet. He is not exactly the most loyal Pokémon in the world, at times, he may choose to attack his own way instead of using Ray's more logical approach. 
Strengths: Cyclops strength is its amazing strength and endurance. While Infernape is there to apprehended the criminal, Cyclops is sent when a battle has broken out. His he very powerful and smart.
Weaknesses: Despite his battle experience and knowledge, Cyclops cannot shake his slowness, and cannot fight against faster opponents.
