Short post aren't a bad thing. It'll depend on what is happening but as long as it's quality, it'll be fine. :)

I also learnt a while ago that it's a good idea to force yourself to interact with other players when possible. A post apocalyptic rp that I was in didn't do well because we all started on different parts of the globe and had our own story lines.
