Aery sighed. She grabbed the man's wrist, pulled him along with her, and jumped onto the ship just as it pulled away from the boardwalk. None of the guards were watching, thankfully, instead fawning over the other people on board. She made eye contact with Silly, who pointed to the man, rolled her eyes, and cast her hands to the heavens. She was practically saying,
[i]Aery, god damn it, no, we can't have ANOTHER stray![/i]
To which Aery replied, visually, [i]He's not a stray, he'll help us. Now don't cause a ruckus.[/i]
To Celaena, she gave her sweetest smile. "Mother, I'm sorry, but didn't you say you wanted my cousin Mars to come with us? He overslept and I couldn't get him out of bed any quicker!" trying to tell her with her eyes to calm down and not cause a scene.
