No, I was agreeing with Skink, both of you actually, in that under no circumstances should my character be allowed to have combat strength comparable to a human player of similar level. I might have said it in a weird way, but I was implying that my character's weapon skills would be purely for some semblance of self defense outside of using a dragonstone (because woe is the unwise Sacred Stones player who wastes his dragonstone uses fighting brigands and skeletons) I'm not saying that my character should be comparable to a human character in regards to capabilities. I just thought It'd make sense that manakete could say pick up a knife or spear and point it in someone's general direction, or spend a bit of time looking over some tomes- instead of, thinking "oh, a skinny thief is attacking me? I guess I had better turn into a dragon." Also, I get that the general worry is that I may try to power-play, or otherwise stack things completely in my favor. Though you may only have my word on it, I dislike powerplayers and I believe that I am a competent enough writer to prevent myself from being "OP".
That's how I feel too. I don't want my spell-wielding character to sit on the sidelines while one other player completes the whole mission by himself.
The same could be said for a manakete too. If I play a manakete, I dont want to have to sit on the sidelines every battle and just twiddle thumbs while the rest of the team does the mission. In fact, the idea of giving the manakete weapon abilities would prevent this from happening. This would mean instead of manakete just turning into a dragon and killing everything, it would use its (considerably lower) weapon skills to otherwise aid the rest of the team. ---- The bit I mentioned about standard stats and the different games was more trivial tidbits of information, not a part of any argument I had. Just as well, if this is too much headache to deal with, I had already been coming up with an idea for a swordsman while originally reading over this RP- I only thought of the manakete idea when I got to the "classes" section.
