Snippity Snip Snip!
Oh, my idea is that they didn't. With 80% of the world dead (and probably lots of world leaders and bureaucrats), everything's done in a slipshod manner probably owing to the quagmire that resulted. No UN security council (The UN building in New York's probably overrun), no quorum, no meeting with a hundred or so other reps. Just a few countries deciding things, then settling on Japan sending a unit over to United States. Here's my idea: They sent a unit over to the United States to reestablish communications because the United States is a permanent member of the security council. I don't know how many other members of the security council has fallen, but the United States is. So this is done as part of a plan to rebuild the UN and take back the Earth. I can imagine though that it's going to take a while. So maybe China and Japan's governments were still running? And they want Russia, UK, France and the United States back again? At the worse though, maybe they're hoping that those other members of the security council are completely gone, so they'd take over the UN. I can imagine China being that power hungry and not getting the hint from the dead rising XD Japan could divert some resources due to some vocal groups (aka overseas US Armed Forces personnel), and maybe they wanted something out of it? They were probably hoping that the US government was still standing and could send aid back in return. Don't mind me writing more stuff. I'm just trying to create a lore to make my blue helmet character fit better XD XD XD I don't mind criticism, after all, it has lead to me brainstorming lore so that it wouldn't be so difficult when this thing gets going.
