Kibō-hosh, High Orbit
General Kaisur smiled at the Abh response. He was more than happy to get to know these Xenos and perhaps strike up an alliance of sorts. Hell, even just making true first contact would be more productive than anything the Romans had tried. If all things went well, he might even be able to negotiate a ceasefire of some sort between the two. The Abh defense against the Roman invasion force proved they were formidable fighters at least, and Jer'rahd never passed up an opportunity to meet with a strong civilization. He transmitted a response back to the Abh. "An opportunity to meet in person would be much appreciated. As stated before, I am Roa'marii General Jer'rahd Kaisur. I am the highest ranking of the five Roa'marii Generals and speak with the authority of the Roa'marii Nightmare Emperor. I will descend with my fleet to low orbit before a transport will carry myself and a squad of Roa'marii soldiers to the outskirts of the city set upon by the Roman armies. We will wait there for any envoys you see fit to send and will then proceed with them to wherever you wish to speak. While we are not familiar with your customs, I hope this plan of action will be sufficient for our first contact." Once this message was sent, another was sent to the Draconian fleet. "Draconian fleet Sovereign Hope, I wish no hostilities with your people, but if you are here merely as the result of a FTL malfunction then we will leave you to do as you wish. Just know that we have our weapons ready to fire should we need to. If you wish to meet then you may do so after we are finished talking to the Abh." The General then turned and ordered the Roa'marii fleet to move into position in low orbit. Once this was done he left the bridge, heading down to his personal armory before making his way to the hangar bay. There he met a group of soldiers, 6 from the 42nd legion and 6 from the 69th. They would be his honor guard down on the Abh planet before him. This was going to be an interesting meeting. Time to find out how the Abh held up to the Roman depiction of them.
New Rome, Magical University
"Yes, I am ready to see what granted a formerly non magical species access to the arcane. Let's go down shall we?" They then continued down the stairs and into the chamber that held the artifact. Commander Sca'reti walked in to see the Roman artifact and froze. Upon seeing the artifact, her eyes grew wide and her jaw dropped. Before her, the artifact pulsed gently, a black glow seeming to emanate from it upon her presence. This glow brightened ever so slightly as she came near it, tendrils of the black glow almost seeming to reach out to her. She stopped just short of it before falling to her knees, hands bracing her on the floor to keep her from collapsing completely. She then began to murmur to herself. "No, it can't be. It's not possible, they were sent to the depths of Hell and scattered. They couldn't have influenced anything from there. Their corruption couldn't have gotten out. Unless... No... No, no, no. This can't be happening. They will not take me again. I won't let them. Never. Never! I will not be your pawn Dark One!" With that meltdown, Sca'reti got up quickly and ran from the room as the Romans could only watch. She stopped soon after leaving sight of the artifact, but still she shook, shivering as she stood there, eyes wide. Suddenly, those eyes flashed blood red before returning once more to their natural shade. She then stood tall, shivers stopping completely. She closed her eyes for a moment before turning and walking back towards the artifact's room. Before reaching it she met with the Roman scientist... She couldn't remember his name. She had forgotten them all. Where was she again? Why was she here? She needed to play this safe. "I apologize for that, something came over me. I assure you I am fine. Now, what were we doing again?"
Arcadia, Statue Garden
"Very well, we shall leave the Garden in that case. As for your son, I believe he was taken to Training Camp Lar'varis to be trained under General Blu'deri Escal and the Prime Magus. I can arrange for you to go there if you wish."
Cathacia, Arcadia
Doctor Ire'merok gave the Abh Empress a look of slight confusion before she responded. "Yes, I do believe the Naga outfit their tanks with such a system in order to make it easier to pilot any type of tank they may get ahold of. But I'm not sure how that would be useful. You would need to get into the tank to access it. Also, the citizens here know how to fight. It is Roa'marii law that all citizens go through basic military training. The Naga have power on their side, but we can defend ourselves should we need to. They know this, and wouldn't dare attack our citizens, lest we all fight back. The naga would likely win, but it would cost them lives as well as this town. No, they will take our supplies and leave as they always do. But tell me, what do you plan to do?"
