Name: Kyuryuin Senren Age: 32 Gender: Male Race: Human Appearance: He's a lanky, unassuming looking guy. His most distinguishing characteristics are his extremely messy grey-ish brown hair complete with long bangs, glazed over light purple eyes underneath half closed slender eyelids, and pasty white skin. If his eyes open all of the way then he's clearly so surprised he can hardly contain himself, both otherwise he looks normal. He wears an outfit similar to this in white. He has a bell attached to both sides of his hat. That picture actually fits him quite well despite him not being that old, he might seem like it based on how he acts most of the time. Personality: He's really lazy/easygoing to the point that he doesn't feel motivated to get worked up about much of anything. If something requires his attention then he'll deal with it as efficiently as possible and then probably go back to fishing, which is his one true passion, although even when he's excited about fishing he still maintains his unenthusiastic looking face. Despite a seemingly lack of empathy he has a strong sense of justice in some ways, so he wouldn't just sit by and watch someone get robbed, for example. He just has a philosophy where you can only do so much, so running around trying to save everyone in the world would only lead to your own destruction. Therefore, unless he can help it, whatever happens happens. People might not know it but he's wise beyond his years in a lot of areas...while being moronic at others. He doesn't care about being really smart, as that requires too much thinking, but he does like thinking just enough to make things easier on himself. Abilities Physical Enhancements- His movements are precise and so fast that normal humans can barely even register a flash, and that's if they were ready for it any paying attention. It's possible that he can slice and re-sheath his sword so quickly that people won't even notice he even did so, surprised that their weapon was suddenly knocked out of their hand by what seems like thin air. He's strong enough to deflect cannonballs with his sword and cut through steel. His durability allows him to hit as hard as he does without destroying his own body in the process, but against offensive attacks he's not very impressive in this field. His reactions can keep up with his speed. His other senses are keen but not superhuman. Fishing- He can use his fishing pole for it's intended purpose or even in battle, well trained in both uses but more trained in the art of fishing then battle in this case. In battle he can use it like a staff, use it's wire to tie up opponents, or use different hooks to attack. Sword fighting- He can use a katana with legendary efficiency, few mortals keeping up with his skill. He doesn't rely on brute force, but blindingly fast and precise strikes. Dart throwing- And by extension needles. He's really accurate and has fast throwing speeds. Not his most effective weapon, but if he were to play a game of darts he could still bull's-eye 99% of the time. As the distance, motion, and size of the target change then obviously he can experience more trouble. Calm mind- It's hard to mess him up emotionally. Energy Sense- He can sense life energy and distinguish between all the different kinds of living things as a result, fine tuned enough to detect individual ants. His effective range is 300 feet. Otherwise it gets more and more blurry. Powers Time excel/decel- He can decelerate (or accelerate if for some odd reason he wants to) time by 50% for 3 seconds from his perspective, but only on a certain body part while the rest must move at the normal speed. This almost literally costs him the arm or leg he uses this ability on because it causes excruciating pain after the time change is over with for 6 seconds and then a dull throbbing pain and a slightly weakened state for the rest of the day, unable to be used in this matter again until this pain goes away. He can use his torso as a sacrifice instead of just a limb in order to make his entire body move at the enhanced speed, but this could possibly give him a heart attack, even if just a minor one do to his heart skipping a beat. He can survive this technique but it's very risky. Legendary Blade Formation- He can extend his hand, and in 10 seconds form out of thin air a massive glowing sword (as big as his body). It has what is rumored to be unlimited defensive and offensive power, depending on how much energy can be placed into it. If going from full strength to so tired he passes out, that would provide enough energy to allow it to cut through almost anything and unleash a slash of energy that extends well past the original length of the blade, allowing him to cut cleanly through objects up to 5 times the actual length of the blade. In such a scenario he'd promptly pass out after only a single slash. False Legendary Blade Formation- A far weaker version of the above technique, but allows him to form the blade in the blink of an eye with a length of one and a half feet. It's not as stable so would dissipate after at most 3 seconds after creating it even if he did supply it with extra energy. It's as powerful as the basic form of the above technique, so can still do a ton of damage quickly if he catches his opponent and close range. Phase Shift- An exhausting technique, if only for a 3 seconds he can make his body become intangible to physical attacks. It doesn't mean he can walk through walls or have his clothing and equipment fall through him, as it just applies to attacks. Magic can still effect him, forcing him out of the form and doing tremendous damage. He can only use this technique once a day even if he somehow recovered enough energy to use it again beforehand. Equipment Hooks: The following hooks can be attached to his fishing rood and are all found in a box he carries with him. Steel hook- Can be used to catch fish or pierce skin, but probably not lethally unless he gets creative or lucky. He has plenty of these. Explosive hook- Once the hook latches on to something he can yank the line out from the top, making the ball attached to the hook explode with the force of a grenade. He has five of these. Sticky hook- Once hooked on it unleashes an incredibly sticky residue that is super hard to remove by physical means, but magic, fire, and water tend to break if off easier. He has three of these. Spinning Top hook- The hook is actually more like a saw that spins around. He has three of these. Festive hook- A colorful ball that breaks open upon impact, revealing confetti and miscellaneous candy. He has one of these. Weapons: None hook related weapons. Katana- His primary weapon, very well made and very slow to dull. It's been shown to at least survive damage as powerful as cannonballs without breaking. 40 needles- Can be thrown. They have a numbing poison on the tips that must make their way into the bloodstream to work. If the average human gets punctured by 10 or more of them they can die by their heart and lungs numbing too much to do their function. Items: Bell of Hypnotism- The two bells on his hat, if jingled around consistently and with intent, they can begin to cause a hypnotic effect after 20 seconds to all who listen to it. They feel very drowsy and more inclined to listen to his commands, but not forced. Pure water- A vial of water he can sprinkle on animals or demons to calm them down. Beckoning Flute- Can summon an animal that he pictures in his mind to come to his location, should that animal hear the sound of the flute. However, he has no control over them. Fishing rod- As strong as steel but appears to be made out of wood. The line is as strong as steel as well while still being as flexible as fishing line should. Bio Most of his back story is kept secret, although it's all too evident that it involves some sort of a military history. He doesn't like talking about himself so nobody knows for sure. He simply appeared in a small, quite village one day by way of a small fishing boat and made this place his new home. People only noticed he was the new resident after other fishermen noticed he kept showing up near the docks day after day, lazily spending his free time fishing and snoozing.
