I had an idea for a series of stories a while back, taking place after the ALO arc of the Sword Art Online anime. *ahem*


[Indent]Six months after the World Seed was published, a company called WolfeCorp. used it to create a Digimon Adventure VRMMORPG. However things have not been going as planned. The Digimon-- thought to be just bits of code-- began behaving erratically. And even worse, a virus has infiltrated the game. To correct this, WolfeCorp. has run a contest to bring in ten beta testers. Once in the game they discover that things are worse than the developers had feared. [/indent]

Okay, so there are ten character slots, revolving around Crests. These will be:

The virus is known as the "Roots" virus by Digimon. It manifests as a sort of digital fungus that grows in colonies similar to tree roots. When a Digimon is infected they take on a new form, with the Corrupted attribute. This attribute is highly resistant to all types of attacks-- Data, Vaccine, Data, Free, or Variable. Something... or some[I]one[/I] created it. The beta testers' long-term goal is to eliminate the virus entirely, and find out what created it.
