This is a basic check to see if anyone would be interested in a slightly altered game of Lexicon. Players take on the role of scholars and academics writing an encyclopedia of a fictitious world. Oh and you all hate each other. Each 'round' would be one letter of the alphabet, and you write an entry in scholastic fashion as whatever character you invent. Entries would have to reference at least 2 other future letters. (so in the 'A' round you would invent a word starting with a letter B-Z) In subsequent rounds, players would fill in these invented referenced terms and words. For example:

Jim, Stacy and Steve are playing lexicon. Jim writes an entry for 'Fireball' during the 'F' round. In his 'Fireball' entry his character references "Void Smoke" and "Neru the Destroyer". Steve later writes an entry for Neru the Destroyer during the 'N' round and elaborates on "Void Smoke". Stacy later fills in the "Void Smoke" entry.

As you can see the web of references and player interaction gets absolutely insane. Also as scholars, you pretty much hate each other and can flat out call each others work complete fabrication and lies. (or not, but it's more fun that way).

If anyone is interested, all we need to do is iron out exactly what sort of fantasy world we want to be detailing. And that's it. Magic, races, history, everything can be figured out in-game. I would probably need some co-GMs to help keep track of all of the entries, references and help with world consistency. (I wouldn't even be a traditional GM, it's not that sort of roleplay). Entries would be worked out in OOC and maybe posted by one or two players in IC to be linked and kept in somewhat alphabetical order. Thanks for taking a look!
