Charlotte M. Spirit
"So, this is London huh?" Letting out a quiet sigh, Charlotte takes a look at the surrounding street layout and Muggles bustling here and there, going about their mundane daily lives. A few of them passed looks her way, but she dismissed their looks as coldly as she would a rather large boulder. She was not interested in what they thought, not in the slightest. At the moment, the young Australian woman looked slightly annoyed. She lets out another, exasperated sigh, before closing her eyes and swinging her bag over her shoulder. Any. Second. Now. Finally, just when she was about to start tapping her foot in impatient, a bird flies down from the nearby lamp post and alights on her shoulder. "It took you long enough, Shaman.", she scolds it casually. With this, she seems satisfied and begins to walk down the street, oblivious to the increasing intensity of the Muggle's stares. "CAW.", responds the bird noisily. To one listening, it might seem as if the bird was almost being sarcastic with its owner. But that's impossible, obviously. Birds can't be sarcastic. Charlotte lets out another sigh. "But seriously, what's with this horrific cold... perhaps I should have brought warmer clothes?" She turns her head to the massive, black raven on her shoulder, who responds with another, almost mocking "Caw." Annoyed with her partner, Charlotte takes a quick look at a nearby signpost and turns off onto the next street. There, but a few dozen paces ahead, sat the Tavern she was seeking. The Golden Pelican. It wasn't nearly as popular as the famed Leaky Cauldron, but it would do. So, when she arrived in front of it, she looks up at the sign hanging above the doorway carefully. Several Muggles, unaware of the building she was directing her gaze to, simply stumble past her idiotically as they move to avoid the strange girl with the crow. "You stay out here, yeah? I won't be long." "Caw." ... Ignoring her bird friend, she takes her first few steps into the Tavern. Walking in through the door, bag still over her free shoulder, she reveals herself for the bar's occupants to see. In an instant, the bird Shaman is gone, flown off likely to wait and watch for his partner to finish her business. He knew the limits of how far he could push her. She was his master, after all. Inside the Pelican, Charlotte makes her way casually past the tables and other customers, wandering over to the bar. She was wearing Muggle clothes, much to her chagrin, and she could not help but feel uncomfortable with the infernal incongruity between the lightness of her skirt and the relative heaviness of her upper garments. She was not normally the type of person to be bothered by this, but she knew that she would certainly work towards replacing the clothes she had when she got the time to do so. She was wearing a simple, short black skirt, and accompanying stockings. Her shoes were fashionable, but unassuming, and she wore a large jacket over whatever top she was wearing underneath. Overall, an omniscient observer might comment she dressed as if a bird had chosen her clothes. Which he had. She sits down at the bar, tiredly resting her head in her hand as she takes the world's shortest recorded nap. Then, in record time, she lazily opens her eyes. Almost half-asleep, she looks around at the other occupants for the first time since arriving, letting her gaze drift over both the others seated at the bar and the layout of the tavern itself. So this is it, huh? Charlotte was not impressed.
