Yeah, plus there is only one master Black Lantern ring, all other Black Lanterns are dependent on the original. All Lanterns can technically clone their rings in a similar way (obviously not having the effect of raising the dead), so long as they have the knowledge. They likely wouldn't know how, since I've only seen it demonstrated by Sinestro, who only became aware of it while heading the Sinestro Corps. He claimed it was one of the abilities of the power rings the Guardians kept secret from the Greens.

Come to think of it, I believe Mogo may have tried a similar feat while tainted by Parallax.
