Purchased from Trang Robotics, the United Republic GX1s serve a similar purpose to the Trade Federation's Droidekas, as Heavy shock infantry, and unlike the original models, have been modified with an extra set of blasters hidden within their arms. In its five years of service, the URA's GX1 has proven to be a far more superior and versatile battle droid in intelligence and tactics then to their federation counterparts. Despite their success rate, the GX1s serving in the United Republic Army are unfortunately limited in numbers, and often are reserved for the more Veteran Army Units, none the less, the GX1s are valuable assets on the battlefield.

The Centurion Series are a Product of the of the local Grumani Corporation, Ventruun Arms. The Centurions first made their appearance four years ago during the Second Fiviune Campaign, and while not up to par with the GX1, had proven itself against the Federation's legions.

The Centurion Battle Droids were built with two models in mind, the standard green plated soldier models, and the slightly more sophisticated red plated Command model to which it's name implies, commands and directs the soldier models.

Although for a short period the Planetary Security Forces seemed to be a thing of the past with the dawn of a more centralized military, a local defense force was still very much needed in these dark, uncertain times. As such the United Militias were born.

The United Militias operate similarly to their predecessors, but are more well equipped and have the support of by the Army and Navy. Each Star System in the Grumani Sector operates and maintains a United Militia Force. In times of war, the United Militias serve as Auxiliary forces alongside Army units.

Bio: The main-stay of the United Republic Navy, the Starblade was introduced alongside it's sister design, the Talon twelve years after the Republic's founding by Jutrand Star Industries, the starblade was created both as a replacement of the aging Cloakshape as the Republic's primary starfighter and as a supplement. Soon they became a common symbol of the United Republic.

Bio: An old relic of a ship, predating the Confederate Takeover and the Clone Wars, the Cloakshape served under the various banners of the Planetary Security Forces of the Grumani Sector, while cumbersome, was also useful, cost effective and after the formation of the Navy, numbered in the thousands. Now the Cloakshape Fighters serve from medium fighters, to planetary defense, and even Bomber variants are present.

Bio: Another left over, like the Defiant, quite a number of Rogue starfighters were left in the hanger bay of the Defiant herself, a few bases on the planet she drifted over. Like the Defiant, the Rogue fighter were immediately pressed into United Republic Service, and all were modified to carry missile launchers. Due to their rather limited numbers, Rogue MKII's are usually held in reserve for more Veteran pilots or the few Ace pilots there were.

Bio: Last of her kind under the United Republic's Banner, the Defiant, once called the Hammer, was the last of the intact confederate vessels left behind after the uprising, naturally, the young United Republic saw fit to repair and refit the vessel for Republic service, serving as the heart of the new Navy. The Defiant had be modified to accommodate the primarily organic crews, as well as giving a new coat of paint fitting for the new Navy. 

Twenty years after, the Defiant continues to serve as the Flagship of the United Republic Navy.

The Republican Guard are an Elite Corps who's ranks consist of the best of the best from all corners of the Military, from the regulars, rangers, marines, and even militiamen. The Republican Guard are based on Ventruun, and form the first line of defense for the Capital, the Senate, and the President himself.

[u]History:[/u]
With the fall of the Republic, hundreds of sectors now had to fend for themselves, even more so for those in the Outer Rim Territories, what little presence the Republic had in the Outer Rim had now once for all was lost. The first few years were particularly harsh for the peoples of the Outer Rim, Many sectors now engaged in warfare amongst themselves, both out and within, others under attack by pirates and raiders, and the Trade Federation was slowly encroaching the southern regions. Few sectors were able to stand tall against the chaos, Grumani was among those few. Following the Republic's Downfall, the Leaders of the Grumani Governments immediately begun to organize a plan for the coming years and t push out the CIS presence in Grumani. Simultaneously all the systems in the Sector rose up in open rebellion against the CIS garrisons, The rebellion, while successful, was very bloody, many losses were taking, but it was a necessary sacrifice. The Grumani Sector soon became a sovereign entity and as such, they begun to fortify their borders and militarize. As a first step, The collective Planetary Security Forces of the Grumani Sector were merged and reorganized into the United Grumani Armed Forces, three months after the formation of the Military, the leaders of the Sector officially announced the establishment of the United Republic of Grumani, with Ventruun proclaimed Capital of the United Republic. 

For a good few years, seven years after the fall, the URG along with few others were shining beacons of Hope and Order in the Outer Rim. Worlds, systems and sectors looking to them for aid and leadership, and with Grumani along the path of a few of the Hyperspace Lanes, it also became a Center of Commerce and Trade in the South. This rather short time of prosperity came to an unfortunate end once the Trade Federation begun an invasion of the Grumani Sector, after years of carving through and covertly controlling the Southern Mid Rim sectors, the Federation launched an all-out attack on the Northern Stellar Border of the Sector.

The first five months of the war were bloody for the URG, as they fought a losing Campaign for the Aquilaris System and were slowly pushed back by the superior numbers of the federation. Despite the losses, the United Grumani Military continued on the fight against the Federation till the soon-to-be-famed War Hero, Admiral Risa Kanu, would take command.

Under her leadership, morale improved for the Grumani Military, for what they lacked in numbers, were soon made up for her guerrilla tactics. For a month Kanu's fleet was slowly wearing down the Federation Invasion fleet, while the Ground Campaign on Aquilaris Minor had been effected by the sudden turn around as federation ground forces were now without Orbital support and no constant flow of reinforcements, giving the garrisons stationed on the planet the much needed morale boost to push back the enemy.

It wasn't long before reinforcements arrived for defenders, the Grumani Navy and Army were able to put up an fight against the federation in the famous Fourth Battle of Aquilaris Minor. Hundreds of Ships on both sides locked in fierce combat over the planet, while the Grumani and Federation Armies fought their final battle at the Capital City of Qinlo. The Space Battle lasted for nearly a day, while the battle for the Capital City lasted for a four days.

In the aftermath, the Grumani United Republic was victorious, but the danger was far from over. For the last Twelve years, the URG and the Federation had been in a permanent state of war as the two sides often engaged each other, from small skirmishes, to full blown battles and campaigns. 

In the present day, thanks in part of the Aquilaris Campaign, the URG has emerged into Regional Power status as it struggles to survive in a chaotic Galaxy.
