Collab between Lord Wraith and BlackSam
"Slicey thing is it? With my sliver of metal maybe? I don't think you really appreciate me Hob. I refuse to bail us out again, just because your flying wasn't up to the task of escaping these upstanding Thangarians!" Rane crossed his arms resoutly, turning his snout up at the circling bird-men. Why are you doing this Rane? Don't you want to fight the feather-heads? "Well of course I do Sword! Remember who you're talking too! Pacifism is a necessary evil here. Imagine how much this will be annoying short-snack over there." Ahh. Excellent work Rane. I should never have doubted you. "No. You shouldn't. The Skyfather isn't the only infallible one around here." Outside the Thangarian's were waiting impatiently for some sign that their demands were being complied with. On their commanders orders they began to edge forwards. <"GET OUT THERE AND SWING YOUR BLOODY SWORD!"> Hob screamed as he opened the door only for the Thanagarians to edge forward. Quickly slamming the hatch he turned back to Rane. <"Perhaps not that way."> He said as he began to climb the ladder for the roof hatch. Emerging onto the roof, Hob armed his suit as he fired nonlethal rounds towards the winged soldiers. " He screamed back down the hatch. Rane pushed himself to his feet lightly. He strolled towards the hatch, a bounce in his stride that showed his good humour. A low chuckle began to roll out from him, a rough, insistient cough of a sound. The Thangarian's could hear it from beyond the hatch, their resolve begining to falter. There was something about that chuckle, something ancient and sinister. More like a saw going through bone than a release of joy. And then the hatch creaked open. The chuckling got louder, but no one came out. "Unidentified crew! Come out and surrender, and no harm shall come to you. Resist and you will be destroyed!" Barked the Thangarian commander, though the quaver to his voice robbed his words of authority. When no answer was forthcoming from the Jumper, save the crackling chuckling. The commander gestured towards the ship, calling to two of his men. "Soldiers. Investigate that vessel!" The two creapt forwards, none to happily. They made it to the hatch without incident. It's shooooooowtime. Rane exploded from the ship, Sword of the Skyfather naked and gleaming in the low gloom of the cruiser, his laughter deep and booming now, though no less sinister. The mysterious metal of the blade swung down, sinking into the collar of the first Thangarian, cutting through his bone like bovine fat. Blood burst from the wound, covering Rane's chest and face. It was beautiful. The second Thangarian was too shocked to respond, easy meat for the Sword of the Skyfather. Rane's back swing seen him short one head. An improvement to Rane's mind. Without skipping a beat he withdrew the sword and charged the rest of the squad, still laughing like a madman. And I thought being part of the Legion would be boring. <"THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!"> Hob shouted as he activated the thrusters on his exo-suit. Uploading the basic schematics for the Thanagarian Cruiser, Hob quickly isolated where the armory was and sped towards the location. Cutting down Thangarian soldiers with his arc laser, Hob burst into the armory. Examing the ammunition, Hob scowled as he cursed and kicked the wall. The rounds would do more damage than good if loaded into the Jumper's weapons. That meant Hob needed to do some work which was going to take time. At least the blood thirsty reptile would be happy. Surrounding a couple of the araments with an anti-grav field, Hob towed the weapons behind back to the ship. <"KEEP THEM BUSY!"> He yelled as he climbed into the ship. Modifying the guns and getting the engines back online was likely going to take some time.
