Scott groaned as pieces of his notebook fell around him. He turned back to Liam and approached the table they'd originally been sitting at. They began whispering to keep the girls from listening, but the action would be futile for anyone with beyond-normal human hearing. "I just wanted to get something to eat," Scott complained. Liam mouthed the words, "Me too," but didn't actually say anything. "So, what're we gonna to do?" Scott asked. "Well we can't just leave them, they're now officially perps. Owning parasites, threatening government employees, et cetera. I really don't want to get in a fight right now, especially with these overwhelming odds, but we got a job to do," Liam responded. "Yeah, I know," Scott let out a sigh, "Alright, I'll lead them outside and watch them, you go get some distance and call for backup. Fast." Scott turned back to the three delinquents as Liam got out of the booth and stepped out the door. Scott reflexively moved his hand to reach for his MP40. He stopped soon after starting the movement though. Sure they were parasite hosts and would probably tear him apart in the next few seconds, but they were still minors, or at least appeared to be, and there was no way he was going to shoot a bunch of kids. The hand that had originally been reaching for his gun now moved toward his helmet that still lay strapped to his belt. As he put on his helmet, he spoke to the three youths, "Fine, let's take this outside." In an alley next to the diner, Liam frantically called Black Egret HQ, knowing that three parasite hosts would probably be too much even for the police. "This is MacTaggart, I'm going to need support here. Fellow Black Egret Thompson and I have discovered three parasites. I repeat, three parasites. We need back-up now. Send support to these coordinates," he said before giving his location to the radio operator at base.
