The town is outside the Academy walls and we are still at the Academy. Henry agreed with Revaz but he thought it unlikely the entire enemy force would fall for the trap so they split their force in two; Revaz has the wood team and Henry will join them, luring the enemy, before moving his forces to the barricade where the rest of the enemy (the infantry) will follow.

The infantry will be lightly armoured but the cavalry are more life Cuirasseurs (with the breastplate) so they'll be slower than unarmoured cavalry. 

TO;DR: at the Academy, splitting enemy force into two, Revaz in charge of wood team taking out enemy cavalry, the town is outside the walls of the Academy (one town at each gatehouse and called Unity together, differentiated by their geographical location e.g. North, South etc.)
