Just before Vesper stepped in front of his daughter, the daughter's father had recovered from his spells of dizzyness.  Within a moment he was hugging her and telling her that it 'was all ok and that he was fine'.  Even so his daughter still cried into his shoulder non stop.  


The man and the woman chose to ignore the man they tortured and the daughters peaceful reunion and instead focused on the girl who asked them to back off.  

The man casually sent the bag of cash he was carrying, flying through the air to land on a nearby rooftop, with luck out of reach of anyone nearby.  

"I'll tell you what, kid, run along right now and we will let the girl and her daddy go."  He offered what was in his opinion a very nice deal.   

Then a bunch of things happened at once.  

Both of their eyebrows rose as another two kids arrived and then one of the girls tried to pull the other two girls from the other kid who was looking down at the ground and to them seemed 'out of it.'

The man's eyes hardened as he had enough of these annoying brats barging in.  He put his right hand forward palm out and sent a blast of air at Eris and Xander.  

The woman looked at the man questioningly and then he nodded and she took her position, behind all the kids about fifteen feet in the air and ready to attack given the slightest reason.
