I actually like the idea (if only I wasn't so busy).  Latin composition is a good way to help reinforce your knowledge of the Latin Language.  If I were able to join (although I probably cannot), I would prefer something set in a mythological setting.  It allows for some creative leeway because even in ancient Greece and Rome the myths were not homogeneous.  Also, if I had time to do something like this, I would so throw in some Greek words (because every Roman poet loves to be esoteric and erudite). :sun

Speaking that Locusta lived around the reign of Nero, I think having demigods would be a little out of place in this setting.
