Alice bit her lip slightly as Ms. Nishizumi joined her and Williams, subtly twiddling her fingers behind her. As she eagerly listened to Williams tell her about her life as a civilian, her discomfort grew at the suggestion of shore leave. She was...ordnance. The military wouldn’t let an asset, a weapon like her out on shore leave sooner than they would let a MAS. While she answered to Trapp or Captain Marquis on the battlefield, in the end she was materiel that belonged to a project authorized by the higher ups of the UEE military. What worried her more what was going to happen when the war ended. It eventually will, and then what? Weapons aren’t allowed to go on vacation. When they arrived at Ariana’s bunk, Alice began to open her mouth to say something when she noticed a warning on her entoptic interface. She opened a connection to the Lincoln’s CIC computers, specifically the radar, and began seeing the same thing command was seeing. The Coalition was attacking! Instinctively, she turned to Maki and Ariana and moved to protect them when a blast suddenly shook the Lincoln, and helped her teammates steady themselves when the Lincoln made an emergency launch. “We’re under attack, we have to get to the hanger! Ms. Williams, you’ll have to continue your stories when we return.” Quickly she ran with her friends back to the hangar where the rest of the 7th were entering their machines. From there she sprinted to her own, leaping off an empty crate to her MAS, crushing the poor but luckily empty crate, and effortlessly climbing up to her cockpit. While such careless treatment of equipment was not usually in her, now was an emergency! As fast and efficiently as she could, she started the Eagle and connected its interface with her own, making sure all systems were ready for battle. The crate holding the Scorpion opened for her and the Eagle took it into it’s hands. Once she was online, at Trapp’s orders, she eagerly sounded off: “Alice: online and combat ready!” She patiently listened to Trapp’s plan as she stocked up on ammo for all her weapons, giving a succinct “Understood, sir.” at her role as a last resort along with Delacroix and Shanks should they fail to deliver the anti-capital charges to their planned destination. While the two were equipped with the charges, Alice gripped her control sticks, and when Brick complained about the burden of having an explosive strapped to his back, she opened up a comm with his MAS and quipped “Take solace in the fact that explosives fit even worse with the Coalition, that is provided you are capable of getting the charge where it belongs.”
