I was planning on creating a power-hungry tyrant Magical girl. Would it be possible for her to be in a position of authority in ACA or Elysium?
Elysium is more of an alliance between the city states than anything. She could have a position of authority in the ACA though, perhaps a lieutenant aspiring to take control of the city for herself. But if you want her to start as the leader of the ACA, then you're going to have to convince me.
Gonna ask straight out, how viable would it be for a magical girl to be working with humans against magical girls? Is this a universe where that kind of power would be welcomed into the ranks of, say, the Shadow Compact? Maybe at the cost of "You can help but you also have to go when we retake power." Or is this the sort of universe where they'd shun help from a magical girl because it represents the very power they're trying to resist? Moreover, would you as a GM be opposed to something like that? I've got an idea for a character, but I don't want to just throw all the lore to the wind in making her. I wouldn't mind if that forced me into a more villainous role, or an antihero. I can roll with just about anything, as long as I'm clear on where I'm supposed to stand. Lemme know what you think.
Sure, you could work with the Shadow Compact as a magical girl. Like any organization it has it's own factions, and it's just a matter of finding one that wants to succeed and doesn't care about the methods how. Just don't expect them to all be happy with it, and she might have to make an example of the more radical ones that try to get rid of her in spite of her joining up with them. So, yeah, I would not be opposed, on the sheer basis that that sort of pragmatism would not be unusual.
