I'm not sure how proud I should be of it, but years ago, like a month after I first started RPing, I, for one reason or another, decided to make an RP based on the Where's Waldo? books... I'd wager someone had already come up with the idea that I was working it around though. It was basically a man-hunt roleplay, with Waldo being a globally infamous criminal/terrorist recently escaped from confinement. One person took on the Waldo role while the rest of the players played representatives from various real and fictitious agencies working to track him down (and ultimately kill him, probably). That notwithstanding, it pretty much shaped up in a way that would have made it a good parody RP. The idea had hit me late at night/early in the morning; that hour where I was so tired that pretty much anything that I came up with that wasn't totally serious (and I honestly didn't think that it'd ever pick up any sort of interest) just seemed hilarious. I laughed so hard, and for so long, that I actually had to leave my room so I wouldn't wake my roommate. I think I spent like forty-five minutes laughing at myself and what I had posted. To my surprise, the next few days saw decent interest from that site's RPing community. The role of Waldo was even taken up by the best possible person for the role at that time. Sadly, like most RPs, it didn't quite make it to its prime. I'd definitely try it again, with more emphasis on it being more of a parody, even if just for the s-and-g.
