I am not entirely satisfied with Constantine's return, especially as its main objective is to make Cedric less nice by revealing that his mentor had faked his death for two years, abandoning him and his former mother figure.

That said, I had [i]always[/i] left a metaphorical door open for Constantine's return from the get-go of Arc III, always considering that he might have faked his death.
