"No! I wasn't talking to you!" Daiki replied hastily. Waving his hands in front of him frantically. "I didn't mean that! Uh.. it's not that you're not pretty or anything because you are.. uh no wait - I was talking to my sword." He finished in mortification. "I do that some times." He added after taking a deep breath. "I grew up in a forest, like I said. Sentry duty gets boring if you don't find something to occupy yourself with... I wouldn't randomly start calling a girl 'darling' unless-" He stopped himself right there. No, let's not go there. He decided. She might think I'm confessing or something. The human boy considered falling on his own blade in embarrassment. At least she hadn't run in terror or downright shot his not - an - actual - confession down. He would never have imagined calling a faunus friend before coming here, and probably still wouldn't outside of school, at least until they proved they wouldn't be stealing his stuff. With Grizel he could easily forget her faunus status until he noticed her ears again. He stopped himself before his imagination and train of thought headed down a cliff he did not intend to plunge off of. "Right. Moving on..." He muttered... "What do you think we'll be doing?"
