Still lost in thought all of his defenses are down when the wave hits. The amount of positive energy and the torrent of emotions behind it draw a scream from Seishu. His scream is short but piercing, causing Rue to do a U-turn in mid air and rush back to his room. He rushes to the Nightmare Guardian's bedside but is careful to not get too close. Seishu gasps for breath and as if all the time they'd spent getting along had never happened he lashes out at the boy blindly. Rue cries out and darts back against the wall beside the door and curls up, a stream of apologies tumbling from his lips. The pain killers had definitely worn off, but deep inside he can feel himself cursing at his action against the little one. His rational mind is overridden though and when the doctors come rushing in to help him he lets out a fierce snarl and puts back up his barrier. 'I have to stop, I have to calm down. My stitches, I can feel them tearing. I'm going to get blood on my new clean bed' With a whimper he falls back gasping, his anger still tearing through his system. However his strike at Rue had drained most of his energy and after a few seconds his barrier goes back down. After a few more seconds the team moves forward and begins fixing him up. He snaps once in a while, vulgarities pouring from his sharp tongue. The doctors give him disapproving looks but say nothing. After a little while Rue picks himself up and scoots up next to the bed. A tall sheep like doctor looks down at him. “You shouldn't be here kid. It's dangerous, scoot.” he says, but Rue shakes his head hard and clings to the edge of the bed. As the doctor tries to remove him forcibly Seishu lets out a hiss. The sheep doctor looks over for a moment at the patient and freezes at the look Seishu is giving him. His hands relax and Rue props himself against the edge of the bed again. 'He shouldn't want to stay, the little sparkler, but no one messes with. . . . .' The Nightmare Guardian’s thoughts trail off as he tries to figure out just what the boy is to him. 'He's not mine, he's not a friend, he's not a pet, he's not one of my subjects. . . I really should make him go. He needs to get that burn treated' His snaps and snarls subside as he feels a needle inserted into his arm and the pain begins to fade. As it does, his mind begins to work properly again. He gazes over at Rue, the faint pink of the burn on his right cheek making the guardian flinch slightly. Looking into his eyes, Rue seems to understand how he feels and smiles. A few moments later the door opens. A second needle sinks into his arm and the pain fades almost completely which is how Seishu can tell that his new anger at the one who walks in is entirely different from the usual irrational fury he seems to have while residing in the dream world. 'Somehow this feels more justified than what I was feeling a little while ago. . . .' He lets out a growl, glaring at Enasi. “Sorry? I'm not the one you should say sorry to you forgetful little. . .” His throat rumbles again and he reaches out towards Rue. His power depleted, his touch feels like nothing but bare skin to the little minion as Seishu presses a finger gently under his chin, forcing him to turn his head towards Enasi. Rue realizes what he's doing and too late turns his head away from the Dream Guardian. “I'm okay, it was an accident, I'm not mad. . . .” Rue mutters covering his cheek with his hand. A few of the doctors give the boy incredulous looks and a few scoff, rolling their eyes at his statement. However a quick glance at Seishu's scowling face shuts them up. Rue's fists curl once again around the sheets at the edge of the bed and he stands stiff, unwilling to back away.
