Due to a mass viral incident on the school grounds of Eden City High, all people there under 20 became infected with a virus that made them pass out for 2 weeks. When they woke up, they all had... gifts. Superpowers, to be frank. The government swooped in at the first sign of this and replaced the staff with similarly 'gifted' teachers. They still save the world at night, but kids gotta go to school, right?
