Outside, the wind slowly began to calm down. The howling of the wind and the rustling of the corn soon faded away, and they were in complete silence. All they could hear was their own breathing. Anne shivered. They were going to stay here? All night? She glanced back at the window. She was definitely not going to wander around in the middle of the night. She sighed and walked over towards the dresser, twirling a strand of hair around her finger as she quietly waited for anything to happen. - Gideon wandered over to the doorway that Anne had pointed out. He adjusted his glasses and squinted at the dark room. Yep, it was the kitchen. Without a word, he stepped inside and looked around in the dim lighting. Two of the walls were lined by cabinets and counters. He walked over to the counters and started shifting through the drawers. Many of them were filled with miscellaneous kitchen items. Nothing that interested him. He stopped when he came to a drawer filled with kitchen utensils. He lifted a knife out of the drawer and studied it. It was a decent size, it would have to do. He stuck it under his belt and headed back to the rest. He wasn't sure how much good it would do, but it certainly made him feel better.
