Aery felt the warm arms, now that the pain had gone away some. She pressed her face into Rowan's shirt to try to block out the burning light in her eyes. "Rowan... Rowan?" she whispered. Her voice cracked. Tears streaked down her cheeks too. "Rowan..." Aery reached up and put her arms around Rowan's neck, clinging to him while she cried. "I...I was so scared..."
