Sorry about flipping out at you guys. Thank you for fixing your CSes. It just bothers me to see 6-year-olds who are nearly as tall as me (I'm fourteen and 5'0, so most of those characters would have been within four inches of my height.) Her skin is pale from rarely seeing the sun, her hair wavy purple-black. Her deep purple eyes gaze out from a solemn face with very little coloring, even on her lips and cheeks. Her body is criscrossed in scars from encounters with ghosts who don't realize they're dead, as well as a time when, driven mad, she wrapped herself in barbed wire (the only thing readily available) and rolled down a hill, hoping to cut herself to pieces and join the very voices that so terribly haunt her. Race: Human. Bad Habit(s): Freaking out in the middle of class and chattering at things other people can't even see. Usually in about ten different languages. Petals: 5 Repercussions: Anxiety attacks, moments of not knowing where she is. Getting "stuck" in whichever language she's in when the petals finally kick in. She's spent weeks chattering at people in Latin and freaking out when they don't understand her. Family: The youngest of about twenty kids (I say about, because several of them have literally vanished off the face of the earth and several created clones of themselves, in the womb, or just outside of it, and so no one actually knows exactly how many kids are in the family at any given time) and all of them gifted in this way. She's the first to manifest so early, but she goes to this school along with about thirteen of her other siblings. Again, one of them is a clone-r, so sometimes thirteen, sometimes fifteen. And one is prone to vanishing, so sometimes only twelve. History: Lived in a rural environment for much of her childhood, with a plethora of older siblings and cousins and friends. At any one meal there were probably forty people at her kitchen table. So she's used to being overlooked, until the day her powers manifested. She was three; a little girl wearing a long, floor-length dress came to visit and asked if she wanted to play. The girl was speaking in Latin; Ame heard it as English. Ame and the girl played for a while, until her older siblings freaked out and called their parents out. Over the next week other children, some from Egypt, some from Greece, most from Pompeii and Hiroshima and all the other places where children had died without need, came to play with her. And so did some meaner people; men who had been tortured until they'd gone insane, women who'd seen their children burn, boys and girls barely out of childhood sacrificed on the front lines. They were angry and disillusioned, and thought that Ame was the one keeping them on earth and out of Elysium where they might find eternal peace, and tried to kill her. They succeeded, three times, plus another time when Ame tried to kill herself. And every time Ame's gods, the ones taught to her by the children of Pompeii, would heal her wounds and put her back in her mortal body, because her "task was unfinished." Other: Knows sign-language, and Latin and Greek and Egyptian and Japanese and a whole bunch of other languages. But sign-language and english are the only two she can actually communicate with the world in; the others kick in only when conversing with the dead.
I hope that is acceptable.
