I approve of the relations between Gabriel and your character, although I don't believe that I would go as far as to say they're friends. More like...mutual acquaintances. Gabriel generally keeps hid distance to excitable, trouble-making people. His father would have a fit if he were to pull a bad reputation.

I actually don't know if Gabriel has an actual honest-to-Merlin friend at the school. I was thinking Anastasia, since they're similar, but I wanted to get permission from Coma before putting it in the first sentence of my post. Instead, I put that he vaguely knew her. ^^
