Read the previous posts in the OOC. I'm angry because I genuinely thought that Ruby had turned 'Good'. I'm angry because not only does Cedric look like a fool, but the only path for him is to suppress his high ideals and become a vengeance-seeking hellion who's just as bad as Ruby. I'm also angry because I lost Cindy. And, finally, I'm raging because, it appears, the only way to defeat Ruby is through ass pulls and autohits.
I think my portrayal of Ruby was pretty solid! Think about it, Bee. What if someone pushed you to the brink of survival in a fight before you were stolen away under the pretence of "saving" you. You are then imprisoned for five years of your life. You're not going to forgive; you're not going to forget. Your anger, with no other place to go is going to fester and multiply until it consumes you. Ruby knew what Cedric wanted and she manipulated his desires for her own personal gain. For once in her life, Ruby didn't just rush into something, she thought and planned it. Her act was flawless and no one, not even the proclaimed genius Cedric could have noticed that. To them, Ruby had had five years to think about things and to become less extreme in her approach. I've said this once Bee and I'll say it again - you need to detract your personal life from Cedric's life. It's realistic but it's not healthy. You probably think I'm a shithead now for making Ruby bad but that's simply Cedric's thoughts. I've RPed with you for nearly half a year man and you've become a friend so I don't want to lose you over something that you've become fixated with! Cedric taking down Ruby will be justice and if you give it sometime, maybe he too will realise that Ruby was pushed to the brink and feel a hint of apathy. You hit a dog for all its life, don't be surprised to find it ripping out your throat one day! In reference to Cindy, remember what Wildbow told us! Just placing down a rigid structure for a RP and forcing characters through it is a bad idea! Give the players an idea and allow them to make a structure around it! Yes, I ruined your ideas of a plot a little (they're still going ahead, by the way) but just having a linear pathway is appeasing, at best. Finally, Ruby is not some invincible being! I listed her strength in this response and that is very much her primary weakness - Ruby, for all her intelligence, makes a lot of rash decisions. I like to think of myself as a merciful GM so I'll throw you this - what do you do if you want to bring something that's flying down without having control of it?
