"Modern twist..." Andrews made it intentionally hard, and yeah, most of the class was probably going to borrow a page from the DiCaprio Romeo and Juliet. "So she probably wants us to rewrite the lines a bit, if we're gonna get the A." And that was important, because his mother was a stickler for getting the grades in order to play hockey, and his old school had nuns that made that happen.

"Well, we could always do Romeo and Juliet, but in Jersey accents," he joked, but then put his hands up, "but seriously, the big problem I see is that a lot of scenes involve more than two characters. Richard III has quite a few good ones, but a modern twist worries me because Ian McKellan already nailed a modern Richard III."

Actually, something went off in his mind and he rewound it. Jersey accents, "We could do MacBeth in Jersey accents. Mob guy and wife, trying to shoot their way to the top. Or a congressman and his wife...but that's a little House of Cards, isn't it? I mean, we could make that vaguely funny while keeping it dark and even these guys know the Sopranos."

Still, sounded better than some of the other options out there. Shakespeare with a modern twist was done in quite a few films, but he couldn't think of them all at the moment. He was about to rub his jaw as he thought, but stopped that motion suddenly as he remembered that his jaw was fucking throbbing and that would really hurt.

The scheduling sort of hurt, though. He had AP's on top of athletics and it took some doing to get homework done, "Next monday is good, Sunday is good, Saturday is good after the weekend practice. After practice today is fine too, we do weights, so I'll be good to go." 

The practices, not that anyone really got to watch them like football, tended to be airhorns, timers, and highly organized to get people out as often as possible. And when the guys did take a bench, Dubois had them learning tactics, getting that stuff crammed into their heads, and then sent out to practice it. Drills, drills, drills, water was given to them quickly rather tha a big water break around a cooler, more drills.

On the other hand, the practices were compact and people managed to get out around five PM to have time at night to work on their homework and projects.
