Alexi watched Gideon. "Hey, wait up!" she called to him as she began ascending the stairs. "Don't want you going alone." Alexi had an eerie feeling about the upstairs, thus increasing her curiosity. As she followed Gideon, the stairs began creaking with every step.

One of the steps halfway up the staircase broke under Alexi's foot, sending her face-first into another step. "Fuck!" she exclaimed, covering her nose as blood began to seep through her hand.
