As shadow worked with his parents on the potions he could feel something awakening inside of him. around lunch time he felt that something was wrong. it was then that 5 men broke in multiple windows and climbed into the house. then rushed his parents and then stabbed them both. he ducked under the dagger that one tried to hit him with. he then tried to get to the kitchen and grab one of the knifes but one of the men grabbed him. he blacked out at this point and when he came to he was outside his house and it was on fire. a part of his mind said " this isn't the way it happened in my time but then i didn't have magic. good luck young one." then that part of his mind faded.

The future part of shadow slipped out of his past body and then smiled. he let his grasp on life slip away and faded from the realm of the living. he knew that his blood magic could still bring him back from the realm of the dead. he could let himself relax for a while now.
