Oh, hex/everyone else, I failed to mention this, but the reason we felt G forces while being launched is because there is gravity on board the Lincoln. As soon as we exit the Lincoln and it's immediate vicinity, we leave it's gravity field. 

So as soon as we're away from the Lincoln, gravity/G forces are null 

Or. Unless I'm completely incorrect and there are indeed G forces in space. I'm actually not certain.
