Gamora gave Peter a nod before grabbing Rocket and pinching his muzzle together to prevent him from saying anything more to Quill. When Quill left she dropped Rocket. “What the hell was that for?!” “Mentioning parents on this ship is a rather tender subject. Peter said yes, let’s leave it at that.” Her voice was stern and serious but the more Rocket thought about it; his muzzle dropped into a frown and his ears fell as well. He didn’t have a family, Gamora’s was killed by Thanos, Groot lost his, Drax’s was murdered, Peter’s mom died and his dad had been estranged and now their new companion on the ship was the last of her species. There was a lot of sadness on the ship, but if even Quill could get some closure by meeting his father, it would be more than anyone else. Unless you count Drax getting to help kill Ronan, he might call that ‘closure’. Peter Quill; Star-Lord and the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy deserved his own closure and the group could easily agree to that. Dropping off Zero went smoothly and Gamora took it upon herself to keep an eye on Nikki who was sleeping soundly as the drugs wore off and her body was finally able to heal on its own. Once Zero was dropped off, surprisingly injured in comparison to when they had caught him; Rocket shot Peter a look before glaring down Zero, even though they may crash heads from time to time, it’s obvious for those who know Peter as well as his three companions do, that Zero said or did something that Quill didn’t approve of. And it’s most likely something none of them would approve of as well. When they returned with the money and everything got squared away, even giving Nikki a portion of the profits; she followed Quill to the helm. “She’s doing fine. Her breathings stabilized and she’ll probably be up and moving shortly.” Gamora said with ease as she dropped some papers into a bucket they had labeled ‘bullshit legal stuff’, so cleverly worded by Rocket. The coordinates took them to the planet, the Milano landed gently on a landing pad outside of the major city that they were directed to. Gamora had returned to Nikki’s room to find the blue haired girl sitting up and rubbing her eyes. “You slept for a while.” “I feel like I had the life sucked out of me then thrown back inside, it was a little exhausting.” Nikki responded as she got to her feet and Gamora gave her a small side smile. “Gamora,” She said, stopping the green skinned woman from walking out the door. “Thank you.” Gamora looked at her with a bit of shock on her face; it wasn’t often she got thanked but at the same time, it wasn’t often that she had to put her medical skills to use. “You’re welcome…” She responded, “We got Zero dropped off and Peter’s father sent him a surprised message so we’re stopping here for a while but I doubt we’ll be here for more than a day.” “That’s fine.” Nikki said with a smile. “I’ll be out soon.” The ship was surrounded by people when the city realized the landed ship was none other than the Milano. The men, women and children were dressed in red, gold and white complementing their pale skins and soft features as they cheered at the ships, chanting ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and waving like mad people in attempt to get any attention they could. The law enforcement soon arrived pushing people away from the ship and allowing the exiting ramp to be dropped. Groot was the first to step out, and as you can imagine, everyone was rather shocked to see him. The tree smiled gently at everyone before raising his hand in a wave. This caused the people to explode in excitement and forced the law enforcement to work a little harder at keeping people at bay. Rocket scattered up Groot’s leg to his shoulder and waved at the people, again explosions of screams and cheers echoed which just caused the raccoon to bask in the glory of the cheers. Staff from the large castle nearby were frantically working and before Groot’s foot could hit the stone on the ground, it was replaced by a fluffy red carpet that led straight to the castle steps. Drax exited next, everyone still cheering. Nikki soon joined Gamora and Peter at the exit that seemed to be waiting for her; she didn’t really know much of what to say as she stood there in her maroon leather jacket and blue jeans with the black tank top underneath her jacket. Her blade of her father’s on her back, she slipped a hat on her head, tucking her blue hair into it; figuring a new planet she knew nothing about; it still might not be a good idea for her give away who she was. She stepped out, the crowd still cheering even though they didn’t know who she was but she was a few steps behind Drax so they didn’t really care. “Take your time Quill, don’t rush yourself.” Gamora said reassuringly but she wasn’t going to force him to leave. But her stepping out onto the ramp and exiting was enough of a clue that she wanted him to get his closure by meeting his father; the elegant and wifeless man standing at the entrance into the castle in the same outfit he had left the message in, watching the people follow the red carpet towards his home but waiting the most important person of all, his son and prince of Spartax.
