Given the circumstances, Sabine didn't mind eating the raw meat at all. After briefly rummaging through the items that Ahnasha brought back in the bulging knapsack and pulling out what appeared to be heavily salted beef rump, Sabine found a place to sit down and quietly chew. She contemplated tips and compared them to the wider concept of gifts. It seemed to make sense to her. Vera leaned her head closer as Ahnasha lowered her voice so she could hear over the chatter of those entering the dining chamber. She gave quick nods to each point of information and imitated Ahnasha's tone in responding. "The lieutenants generally keep their packs company during dinner, so you will likely find them all there now. If not, they will be heading over. I will see the champion immediately. I actually need to see her about something as well, as it happens." Vera gave one last friendly smile and stood up straight again, "I will see you around." A quick walk with Kaleeth by Vera's side brought them straight to Meesei's pack's chamber, Vera didn't speak except to comment "My mouth is watering already, I'm famished." When they arrived, Vera knocked at the old gate that closed off the chamber then discreetly peeked through the empty circular window in its top-centre. "Champion? You sent for me?" Vera asked. Leaps chirped at the voice from Sabine's lap, but didn't escape Sabine's hands after Sabine sounded a quiet "heel" to him as Janius had taught.
