Take the Kestral ( BH/L-001) and travel to the near system (IA-1101 Designated: Elysium). Make contacts with local intelligent life ( If any exists), Establish a forward operating base and colony for future Septonian travel. Deadly force is not authorized unless your or your crew’s lives are directly in danger. I repeat, deadly force is not authorized unless your or your crew’s lives are directly in danger.


The Kestral was a new, state of the art exploration ship. It featured the best of both military technology and civilian propulsion. The Kestral was the size of a blackhole class vessel and featured many of the same armaments, missile tubes, Magnetic accelerated torpedoes and point defense turrets. The introduction of energy weapons made the Kestral more of an experiment then a active military vessel, the ship had four plasma turrets and plasma torpedoes at the disposal of the crew. 
	A completely redesigned stealth packages and thrusters made the Kestral not only fast but able to hide when it needed to. The ship was designed with longevity in mind, specifically designed to make the trip from Sol to Andromeda. It took the crew of the Kestral five months to make the trip with 40 jumps and the appropriate cooling stops in between. The only problem they faced was that they had no idea where they would end up. 

“ SHUT THE BLOODY DRIVE DOWN ITS OVERHEATING!” the engineering officer yelled towards the other crewmen in the compartment as he ran from the propulsion terminal to the ships intercom. “ Bridge!, Engineering!” he yelled over the sounds of grinding metal and arcing electricity. “ What is it?! What is going on down there?” Captain Vellais said over the intercom before suddenly getting thrown forward as the ship suddenly left slip space. “ The jump drive is over heating and melting through its coolant tubes. The molten slag was threatening the reactor integrity so we shut it down” Velka groaned and sighed as she got to her feet again, walking back to the intercom. “ Ok….Damage report…” she said calmly before turning to face the rest of the bridge crew “ Find out where we are, scan for anything near by, suns, planets,other vessels, we need to find out whats around us. Shut down our thrusters and lets drift cold for a moment, engage the new stealth drive." 

The sounds of exterior vents along with electronics could be heard powering down as the interior lights shut off, getting replaced by red light.
