I know hyperhumans must have been known before 2014, in some capacity, but how much of it could the general public claim to be rumour and how much was the general public aware of hyperhuman existence before Yakob? And what was the general consensus concerning them being dangerous or not? 

Also, how long has H.E.L.P. been operating in the public eye?

If this is already available info, sorry, I can't seem to find details though.
