The night was much warmer, and less hectic than their last one with Kraven. The two sat on skyscrapers for parts of the night, eating hot dogs, and when they did find criminals they had to tease them and have fun (it was mostly Peter's idea, but Lexi was just as bored as he was!). The night ended with Peter collapsing on his bed, still in the spidey suit. He ripped off the mask, and almost immediately fell asleep. as he did, the black liquid from the few nights before was getting weaker, and weaker. The way it worked was that it needed a host. And it found the perfect specimen. The liquid slowly climbed up Peter's bed, and made contact with Peter's torso, once it made contact the liquid started moving faster, feeling much stronger. The liquid expanded, little tentacles branching out and slowly covered Peter's body. Peter's spider-senses kicked in, he woke up almost immediately, but the liquid was now almost all over his body. He leapt off his bed, and started to pull away the black ooze, but it only got stuck on his hands, and started to cover him even faster, He had no idea what was happening, but the last thing he remembered was the tentacles covering his eyes. --- Peter woke up to his alarm, shooting upright, remembering what happened to him the night before... But he was fine. In fact, he felt more than fine... He felt.. stronger. He looked down and was very surprised to see a Spider-Man suit-- his spider-man suit, but now completely black. The Spider logo was white, as well as the webbing around it. He jumped up, looking at himself in the mirror. He was very concerned about this. The black ooze that haunted him attacked him last night, and instead of killing him, or turning him in to a monster, he just got a darker suit... What was going on? Just then tentacles shot out of the suit around the neck, and wrapped around his face to make the black mask, completing the suit fully. He stared down at his hands, then back at the mirror at his head, and as he thought about the mask coming off, its as if the suit obeyed, leaving his head completely free of the suit... "Huh..." Peter muttered. Just then, he realized he needed to get to school! Like he usually did with his other suit when he went to school, Peter put clothes over it, and with that he ran down the stairs, kissed Aunt May as he collected the toast and orange juice she made for him, and ran out the door. He noticed he ran even faster than before-- which was saying something because thanks to the spider bite he already could do that. The more he thought about it, the stronger he felt. It felt kinda good... Before long, he made it to school, barely breaking a sweat. He looked around, held on to his backpack, and trudged through the crowd so he could find Lexi and tell her about all of this. He found her, and a surge of newfound anger overcame him when he saw Flash talking to her. He obviously said something that upset Lexi. A new voice in his head started to say that he had enough of Flash thinking he was the toughest guy around. He walked over to the two, looking at Flash, and turning him to face him. "Hey, Flash. Something wrong?" Peter asked, tilting his head, his hand still on his shoulder. Flash gave a smirk. "Nah, just having a chat with your 'girlfriend', I don't know how much you're paying her, because she is still holding on that you two are actually a--" "Flash, for once in your miserable life, just shut the hell up." Peter snapped, the very faint voice in his head giggling a bit. Flash went wide eyed and then gave peter a glare of anger. He never said that to Flash in years he's known him. "Okay, Parker, You're asking for it." "You're going to hit me again, Flash? I bet your grades would be much better if you could just punch your way through them. What would your hero, Spider-Man think of this?" Peter asked, pushing Flash in to the locker, it wasn't hard enough to hurt, but enough to clearly surprise Flash. "Get the hell away from my girlfriend." "Oh, you're going to regret this, Parker..." Flash said a bit uneasy, walking away from the two. As soon as Peter turned to Lexi that voice and feeling of anger was gone. "Hey, wasn't bugging you too much, right?" He asked, looking over at the vending machine, and pulling out a dollar. "Look, when school's over, there's something I have to show you in private... Something happened last night."
