Skillset: Hammond having been going to college to become a surgeon before enlisting voluntarily didn't have enough practical experience to get into one of the field hospitals below the front lines, it did however allow him to become a very good field medic. Not as calm as he'd like to be in a firefight, he shines when he is preforming his duties as a medic. History: Hammond war born December 7th 1946, growing up was normal as it could be, barring the strict studies his father whom was a professor of History made sure he kept his grades as high as possible. His loving mother giving him much support he needed. While his father was not the nicest man, never showing much affection other than a nod and a pat on the back. His mother was Hammond's backbone. His supporter. Progressing through his school years, Hammond excelled at every subject and upon graduating was sent to College to become what he always felt he wanted to be, a doctor. Hearing the constant news of the conflict in Vietnam, he grew restless. While he did not want to go to shoot or to serve his country rather help those that were wounded in the fight he kept to his studies hoping he'd graduate in time to do something about it. Getting impatient, months before his 21st birthday he enlisted. Not telling his parents that he had dropped out of college until he wrote to them just after basic. Per finishing his training, he made sure to let them know he had medical training at least somewhat through his studies. But realized shortly after that he did not have enough time in a hospital to qualify for a spot behind the lines in a hospital. But took him instead as a field medic. He has been in Vietnam for four months, gaining some credit to his skills as a Medic on the field while not used to the jungles he has a duty to try to save the lives of every man he can.
