May I make a suggestion?

Why not a Spider Shifter instead of a full-blown Goddess and creator of all spiders? She could still give birth to broods of spiders and claim the title of "Queen" this way, but taking out the "mother of all spiders" background means she isn't more powerful than the dread mummy. Or perhaps she [i]tells[/i] everyone she's [i]THE[/i] Arachne when she really isn't, as a way of inflating her own power.

I think Seuss was going for a motley band of heroes feel with this RP (unless I'm mistaken and s/he is free to correct me). I handicapped Parael specifically to keep in this feeling.
