|History|
Maleficent was once a good fairy who protected the Moors, a realm of supernatural beings in the darkest of forests in Vanaheim, from the realm of Asgard. Before the war between Jotuns and Asgardians, she befriended Odin when they were teenagers and slowly fell for each other. When Odin was king of Asgard and the cold realm of Jotunheim was in crumble, she felt remorse and saved a dying Jotun baby in Laufey's domain, knowing that it was his son. She raised the child for a few weeks but was discovered. Knowing that they were at war, Maleficent was betrayed when Odin used her weakness of iron to burn off her huge feathered wings so that he could ascend the throne of Asgard, taking the baby in the process. Using a staff as a walking stick, a now hate-filled Maleficent names herself ruler of the Moors. She lasted herself in a battle until she was sentenced to enteral prison as a statue in the forest.
