Little late here but are you seriously trying to say your character is immune to the explosion because the base components that caused the explosion, [i]which is an explosion and thus a transfer of kinetic force[/i], contained a molecular compound that included iron? Is he also immune to getting hit with a steel pipe because it contains iron and he's not "affected by [his] own element"? Because I didn't see that power on your CS.
