Considering how you're using short, international flights, tracking your characters would be nigh-trivial. The America plan COULD work if you got moving immediately after landing, but if you're absolutely adamant about staying in Europe for some reason, I'd find a car or a train to travel with. Remember: airline tickets need your name and are publicly accessible.
