Steve would often run by this small restaurant ever since the Battle of New York ended. He always looked in why running by to see the place very fancy, and old fashioned... And somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew that if he ever somehow got a girl, he would take her there. The place delivered with some good food, close sitting arrangements, and some nice music to top it all off. Sure, it wasn't a pizza, or a burger joint, but it was nice to treat a good lookin' dame out for a night on the town. It was easy for them to get impressed looks. They were both very good looking, happy, and some could have sworn that he looked a lot like Captain America. Central Park was their last destination. They were overdressed for a walk, but none of them seemed to mind as they saw the view, and spending time with each other. Then there was the matter of getting back to Stark Tower. They said their official goodbyes as she left first, and Steve decided to lean on the side of a building and watch the traffic go by, smiling to himself at the night he just shared with Sharon Carter. After a couple of minutes he made his way up to Stark Tower as well, loosening his tie and taking off his jacket. He made it to the top of the tower, the elevator opening to the large living room of Stark Tower, the whole city of New York illuminated past the huge windows. He wasn't surprised to see the group of Avengers lounging around and drinking, all making small talk. "Ah, look who's home." Bruce said with a smile, looking back down at a handful of cards. Steve gave a smile and wave to everyone as he walked over to the bar and picked up a beer. Thor, Tony, Clint and Bruce were gathered around the coffee table playing a game of poker. "Apparently they don't have Texas Hold 'Em on Asgard." Tony said with a shrug. "Want us to deal you in?" "No thanks, I know so many tricks from the army you would never play the game again." Rogers said as he sat down and examined the game, taking a sip of the beer. "Why do you drink that stuff? You can't get drunk." Clint asked. "Makes me feel like one of you guys." "Oh how humble. Why are you all dressed up?" Thor asked, looking down frustrated at his cards as if trying to figure out what they meant. Steve took a sip and frowned. "There was this social event I had to go to for the Mayor. His nephew's birthday." Steve lied. He got a skeptic look from Tony and Clint, but other than that they were too focused on poker. Seconds later Natasha came down the stairs, looking at Steve with a small hint of a smile. Steve averted her gaze and took another sip of his beer. "You know, I would challenge you in to a drink off, but I made this agreement with Pepper..." Tony started, then looked over at Thor. "Besides, i think the God of Thunder could take both of us, even with your metabolism, Cap." They all watched Natasha walk towards the table and sit down, "Alright, boys. Deal me in." She said with a playful smirk on her mouth, looking at everyone. The boys all looked at each other hesitantly, but Clint handed her her cards. "Miss Carter won't be joining us?" Stark asked casually. Steve looked up at Natasha, then back down at the cards. "No, she said something about her back hurting." Another glance from Rogers shot up to Natasha as she was staring right at him too, another very small smile on her lips. Steve downed his beer almost instantly and rose, picking up his suit jacket. "I'm off to bed, we're back on the case tomorrow. Night." Steve said as he set down the empty beer bottle and made his way upstairs. He made it to his room, but saw the light shining through the bottom of Sharon's door. His heart started to race a bit as he thought of her again. He entered his room and took off the fancy clothes. All he could really think about was that back massage as he put on a white t-shirt, some pajama pants in his new wardrobe (courtesy of Stark Enterprises), and then very slowly opened his door. He could hear the cheering of Clint, the frustration of Thor, and the laughing of Banner from below as he slowly made it to Sharon's door, giving it a light knock. "Miss Carter? Its Rogers. I heard you were having some back issues, and was just making sure you were alright." Steve said against the door, smiling a bit. He was sure Stark's music and their drinking would be enough for them not to hear this conversation, and he was also praying that Natasha would give them a little time to talk.
