The morning of the festival dawns brilliantly, or at least, it was beautiful in the mortal realms. Maria rolls out of bed sleepily, blinking at her alarm clock. Then she realizes what day it is and giggles happily, slapping the alarm clock and all but dancing around the room getting ready. In the closet she discovers a dress, similar in style to the roman gowns she's been wearing, but embroidered with beautiful golden threads and adorned with sapphires. She blinks twice to double check what she's already seen, that the patterns are moving, shifting subtly. She dresses quickly, brushing out her long hair and braiding it in a waterfall style, adorning it with some gold star clips that she'd found in the dresser. She brushes on a bit of makeup; foundation, gold eyeshadow, and mascara. She rolls her eyes as a bracelet, a necklace, and earrings appear on the dresser when they hadn't been there seconds before, but puts them on, along with a pair of gold Roman-style sandals that appears by her door. She picks up her lyre, tucking it under her arm, along with the baskets of party favors she'd made, with trinkets from all three Fields: Bracelets woven from Asphodel grass, with charms of volcanic glass from Punishment and bits of abalone from Elysium. She also picks up the massive ragdoll plushy she'd made for Cerberus, expecting to need to bribe him to escape the festival with her life. Grinning at the sheer quantities of stuff she's carrying, she steps out into the hallway to meet Thanatos. "This is so exciting!" she giggles.
