Maria met his eyes for just a second, before they closed again. She bit back the tears that suddenly sprang up. "Don't you dare go mushy." she muttered to herself. To distract herself, she looked at the broken wings. She'd healed most of the gouges, but the wings... The damage was pretty serious. Thanatos might not be able to fly if she didn't do something about them. Gritting her teeth, knowing how badly this would hurt her, she set her hands over the wings, chanting in Latin. The blue light pushed the bones back into place, and she winced as the pain transferred into her back and ribs and arms, the closest parts of her body to wings. She took a shaky breath, letting tears she didn't even know she was shedding fall glittering onto the grass.
