Personality: Strict follower for military doctrine, no real sense of humour. 
Short Biography: William Thomas wasn't outstanding in basic training, nor during any of the specialist trainings he underwent. In fact the reason he became part of the Stargate Program was due to more of a clerical error, or so he believes. He was sent on the first Atlantis expedition five years ago just after he received his demolitions training and was sent on the Daedalus making the Tempest the second Earth ship he has been on. Once at Atlantis he was part of a team that spent time in the city eliminating any remaining Wraith from the siege making the first aliens he ever encountered beings that could suck the life out of you with the palm of their hands, which wasn't exactly a pleasant thought. Once he finished this he spent more time in the city evaluating structural weaknesses due to the assault on the city.

He spent five years in the city, receiving additional training and working his way up to Corporal from private, he then returned back to Earth and became a training instructor for British Servicemen intended to join the Stargate Program. When the Tempest was announced to go on its Maiden Voyage he was placed as the second in command of the veessels main strike team in order to lend his expertise to the sections leader.
