I'm interested as well. Just wondering, going off the talk about a cyborg arm, does the setting take place in the future where that kind of technology is more common?
Not at all. I was using it as an example of pushing the boundaries. I was basically trying to say doing something like classic comic book superhero would not work for this kind of a setting. If you could write a convincing explanation for why a character might have such a high-tech prosthetic on the other hand (as compared to being completely cyborg), it might be more reasonable but even that is a stretch and, again, it would have to be very convincing. A prosthetic robotic arm would definitely be pushing the boundaries and unless we're talking about ion cannons popping out of your forearm, it is technically a real modern-day technology. I'm really not expecting to have more than one person who has some strangely extraordinary advantage like that. This is definitely a modern day setting, and the most high tech weaponry available to folks wouldn't be anything higher than military grade equipment. I always keep an open mind though, as some people may be able to skillfully approach that realm of extraordinary circumstances.
