Dumping my own OOC files, with Douchy Duke soon to be added. Unless you would rather make him up?
Emily Davis (Main Character) - 21 years old: Emily Rachel Davis was brought up in a traditional, law and god abiding household in a nice upper-middle class surburb near Los Angeles, California. Her household comprised of her kindergarten teacher mother, bank director father, her retired journalist of a grandfather and her two sisters; Pricilla who was three years older than herself and Naomi that was five years her junior. Going to the church every Sunday was the norm for the family, and so was supporting the Republican movement. Young Emily tried her best to believe in the same thing as her conservative family but she would have rather go on wild adventure all around the wide, wild world rather to sit and listen to some old men prattle on and on on something as nebulous as life after death and the state of the country. As it was, the pressure was great, and as she got older and her social status got more and more important for her self-esteem she gave in and pretended to believe, going through the boring but safe motions. Little by little she left things like bug collecting for ballet, mountain bikes for gymnastics and competitive swimming championships for cheer-leading activities. Little by little the vivacious, adventurous little tomboy who dreamed of exploring every inch of the world and to show it to the world let place to a pretty, falsely perky socialite who couldn't say no for the life of her... and, when she left herself think about it, she hated herself for it. That didn't matter though, as life was looking up, right? She had an handsome, charismatic and successful boyfriend whom she was sure would soon be asking her The Question, had loving parents who were proud of her, had lots of trendy friends and even was about to graduate at the top of her class with an impressive scholarship that would easily allow her to afford the required post-graduate courses needed to have a real shot at becoming a well connected Republican councilwoman in a few decades. That was all that she could wish for, right? ...so why did she feel so dead inside?

Pricilla Fontaine, nee Davis - 24 years old: The 'Perfect' type, you know? Perfect daughter, perfect student, perfect wife... heck she's even frustratingly good as a new mother and a perfect role model for her younger sisters. Yet she never had to struggle for anything, never wanted, really wanted for anything, and as a result have a really hard time to connect to anyone that's not possibly some sort of cyber alien spy for the Illuminati like Emily and Naomi nearly suspected she was. She has an old money, architect husband called Caleb and a ridiculously photogenic toddler named Gregory. Emily is terribly jealous of her, and will always have that strange, stiff smile on her face whenever she's mentioned. Naomi Davis - 16 years old: While she pretty much followed her older sister's scholastic careers, Naomi, as the youngest, had a little more leeway leading her towards becoming an aspiring Broadway actress, her charming nature, years worth of various dancing style practices and husky, powerful voice having won her quite a lot of fans in schools plays and charity events alike. A believer that happiness is giving as much as you receive, she just left for a summer-long humanitarian project financed by UNICEF to help struggling children in Argentina. She's probably the most genuine and happy member of the Davis household and Emily can't help but be a little envious of her, as well. Helen Davis, nee Howards - 43 years old: She's the kind of old-fashioned woman that married the first boy she dated as soon as she graduated high school and proceeded to become the best homemaker she could be. She had her first two daughters in a relatively close period, and decided to become a kindergarten teacher when her favorite and oldest, Pricilla, first started school. As a result, Naomi arrived a whole five years after Emily, a good thing for the child because by now the once clueless woman had learned quitea bit about fostering children's talents and interest... not that she yielded much, but at least it was something compared to the ridiculous brick wall preventing her two oldest from going anywhere but the 'right path'. She actually met and agreed to date her husband via their respective parents, and as such has a very strict and practical view of romance. Vincent Davis - 45 years old: A successful yet rather narrow-minded 'alpha male', the current head of the Davis family must have it his way or no other, a trait that served him well both financially and professionally yet turned him into an austere and unforgiving man with even stricter views than both his father and wife. A busy man, he is hardly at home to see his daughters between work, appointments with important clients and organisations and the numerous charity event he attend to in order to both look good and score more clients for his bank. He doesn't love his wife, but they are good partners and she keep him healthy, well fed, gave him children to marry off to potentially powerful men and warm at night, and that's all that really matter to him. Marius Davis - 83 years old: Ah, an educated, opinionated and war-hardened elderly man with a sharp tongue and even sharper memory. He will keep everything you say against you, and have no calm in manipulating and thinking of his own family like pawn to hos own schemes, just like he do for everyone he think may be useful to keep around. Born in poverty, he have kept the eat or be eaten mentality of his youth for the entirety of his life, his ruthlessness only exacerbated by time and a short stint as a career soldier when he was at his physical peak. An excellent boxer as a young man, he used both his experience on the ring and on the battlefield to write a short memoir last year, his long career as a political journalist after he got discharged from the army due to a nasty leg wound having made him quite the sensational writer and thus allowed his memoirs to be quite popular with republican men from forty five to ninety-five years of age. He has a limp due to the wound that never properly healed and thus walk with a cane.

Lucy James - 21 years old: Emily's childhood friend, they were the best of friends until high school, where they had a massive fight over the fact that Lucy felt left behind by her increasingly distant and standoffish friend. Nowadays they have a complicated relationship, sometimes barely speaking for each other for months before calling or visiting each other for a few hours, their conversation stilted and tearful as neither want to let go of the bond they once had yet knowing they are too far apart due to difference and past hurt to truly go back to being the sisters in all but blood they once were. Emily hide the fact that she sometime 'succumb to her weakness' ferociously, not even letting Mark know that she even still have a childhood friend in the first place. Marian Truman - 23 years old: She is Emily's mentor of sort, first as the one who matroned her into the Upsilon Theta Lamda sorority of LAU, the strong, independent type who intend to change the world for the better. She took the popular Emily under her wing a few weeks after the latter arrived on campus and have been trying to make her speak her mind instead of what the younger woman think other want to hear ever since. Emily admire her above all else, yet she is also one of the few that can truly push her button and make her angry these days. Carole, Frederica, Jolene - 26, 24 and 18 years old: Members of Emily's Book Club, the four women meet weekly at a small tea house they like to gossip and just hang out under the false purpose of discussing the books they pretend to read each week. They are not particuliarly close, but always know how to make the others forget about their worries for an afternoon. Ralph Brandt - 22 years old: Emily's first boyfriend and ex, he's the only guy beside the band who dared keep in contact with Emily despite the overbearing and possessive attitude of her douchebag boyfriend. He's more subtle in his dislike, covering his hatred with smooth comebacks and sometimes rather morbid jokes. He met Emily when he was transferred to her school in junior high. While their initial relationship lasted only a week, they have been dating on and off between relationships for years now, and while neither is truly in love with the other, they remain attracted enough to try to get back together often enough for the whole thing to be a bit of a joke for the two's acquaintances. He's currently getting his Post Graduate in Natural Sciences.
